New Veterinary Clinic Building for JCU

December, 19 2011

The School of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Molecular Sciences at James Cook University in Townsville has recently completed their new Veterinary Clinic Building.  Ashburner Francis is proud to be apart of the Design and Construct team under the builder,  Total Construction Services.

Ashburner Francis successfully designed and supervised the electrical,  mechanical, standby power and medical gas services for the building under a tight fast track design and build program.  The successful building comprises specialist care facilities for large and small animals,  with a diverse range of facilities from operating rooms, animal ward areas, consultation rooms, learning and administration areas.  The services were required to provide ecologically sustainable designs,  which resulted in specialist energy recovery systems for the air conditioning,  and energy efficient lighting designs.

Ashburner Francis opens new Perth office

June, 27 2011

This month brings exciting news, as we officially open our new Perth Office to take advantage of increasing opportunities in Western Australia. Ashburner Francis have been delivering projects in Western Australia for a number of year now, and this move cements our commitment to this growing market.

Our office is based in Osborne Park, just south of the CBD. We have a mechanical and electrical engineer on the ground, and of course back-up resources from our other offices in South East Queensland, Northern Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Meanwhile, we have restructured our resources in the South East Queensland market. Sunshine Coast projects will be managed from our Brisbane office, and our Nambour office will officially close from Friday 24th June. Staff have either been reallocated to other offices or assisted into new roles. We will continue to deliver projects across the Sunshine Coast and South East Queensland for new and existing clients, and continue to be committed to this important market.

We look forward to better serving our clients throughout Australia with this new office configuration.
